  GENERAL INFORMATION

 Completed entry forms and fees must be received no later than Wednesday April 23rd, 2008.

LATE ENTRIES, IF ACCEPTED, WILL BE PENALISED US$100.00

Committee Desk:

A Committee Desk will be set up in the Sailing Week Village in Nelson's Dockyard during the week prior to the commencement of racing. During Sailing Week a Committee Desk will be set up at the daily race end location which will monitor VHF Channel 12. There will be a protest desk at each race end location.

Registration:

Registration will take place as follows;
                                                      Wednesday , April 23rd, 10.00am -5.00pm
                                                      Thursday, April 24th, 9.00am -5.00pm
                                                      Friday, April 25th, 9.00am -5.00pm
at the Committe Desk in the Event Village in Nelson's Dockyard. Bow stickers, race numbers, class flags, skippers' briefing passes etc... must be collected at this time.

FEES:  

All classes US$12.00 (EC$32,40) per foot LOA. Affiliated C.S.A. members US$10,00 (EC$27,00) per foot L.O.A. Cheques should be made payable to Antigua Sailing Week. For the Guadeloupe Race US$40.00 (EC$108.00) payable to: Antigua Yacht Club.

Please note: A late fee of US$100.00 and any bank charges will be levied on all returned cheques for whatever reason. Fees can be paid in US dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros or E.C. Dollars. Credit Card payments are accepted by VISA, Mastercard and American Express.

MEASUREMENT:

All boats must hold a current CSA measurement. Full details of C.S.A. Measurers, Rules and Amendments can be obtained from www.caribbean-sailing.com or contact your local C.S.A. Measurer or Antigua Sailing Week Committee Desk. All competitors must have a current C.S.A. Measurement Certificate. The Antiguan Measurers are:

Appointments for measuring in Antigua must be made prior to Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008. There will be NO extensions to this decision. Do not arrive on the Guadeloupe Race and thereafter expect to be measured.

Multihulls will be racing under the Multi 2000 rating rule. For boats not yet rated under this rule a rating may be obtained on the afternoon of Friday 25th and Saturday morning 26th April. Please request an appointment at the Committee Desk.

PRESS:

For press accreditation registration should be made online at www.sailingweek.com. A Press Briefing will be held on Friday 25th April at 18.00 at the Copper & Lumber Store in the Dockyard. Two Media boats will be available each day for working media personnel wishing to get close to the action. Boats will leave from the race start location (Falmouth, St John's or Jolly Harbour), exact times will be confirmed at the press briefing.

WATER & FUEL:

Available at Antigua Slipway Ltd’s dock in English Harbour, Port Authority Dock, Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Catamaran Club and Marina in Falmouth Harbour and at the Jolly Harbour Marina

CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION:

Visiting yachts  must clear on arrival and departure from Antigua. Clearance facilities are provided at English Harbour (call Dockyard Immigration on VHF Channel 16), at St John’s Deepwater Harbour and at Jolly Harbour Marina

Visitors arriving by air must have a valid return airline ticket.

MEDICAL FACILITIES:

A safety boat, call sign “ABSAR” with a paramedic on board, maintains a listening watch on VHF Channel 16 during the race. When calling on the radio make certain you use the word EMERGENCY on your call as the Committee only acknowledges radio calls for emergencies, retirements and protests.
