Antigua Sailing Week is pleased to announce its 2010 LIAT Schools' Art Competition. Children ages 5 - 17 years old attending school in Antigua & Barbuda are invited to submit their original art pieces for the competition.
RULES
1) THE PAINTING must be the original work of one child only, can be in any medium or combination of mediums (example pencil-crayons, wax crayons, markers, water colours, airbrush, etc.). It should not be smaller than 12” x 6”. A painted border is suggested, but no frames please. The NAME, AGE SCHOOL AND CONTACT DETAILS of the artist must be clearly printed at the BACK of the painting. No names should be visible on the front. Entries are limited to one per person. No computer generated entries will be accepted
2) THE THEME should be a reflection of what Sailing Week means to the artist. The sponsor’s name LIAT and the words Antigua Sailing Week must be incorporated as part of the painting. Only entries meeting the above criteria will be eligible for entry.
3) THE DEADLINE for submission of entries is 5:00pm on 31st March 2010. All posters must be delivered to the Antigua Hotels & Tourist Association, Island House Building, Newgate Street
GIVEAWAY
A toal of nine winners will be chosen. There will be First Second and Third Place winners in three age categories: Lower Junior aged 5 - 8, Junior aged 9-12 and Senior aged 13-17.
First place Winners will each receive:
- 2 Airline tickets to any LIAT destination
- The winning picture in the Senior Division will have the honor of being painted on a sign welcoming visitors by road to the English Harbour for 2011.
Second place Winners will each receive:
- LIAT Model Plane
Third place Winners will each receive
- LIAT goodie bags
This contest is free. No purchase necessary. The deadline to enter is 5:00pm on March 31, 2010. Entries will be judged by a panel art experts. Winners will be contacted in writing.
